Capacity Building for Stronger and Effective Participation

As part of the Monitoring Freedom of Association Project, we also work to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and support their effective and meaningful participation in policy-making processes.

Right to Participation Trainings

During the implementation of the project, 6 trainings will be organized by STGM to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in the area of the right to participation.

The trainings will cover topics such as democratic governance, policy dialogue, research methods, administrative structure in Türkiye, current participation mechanisms and best practices in the world and in Europe. To see the practical results of the trainings, pilot follow-up activities will be conducted after the training together with the selected civil society organizations.

The Agenda of Global Civil Society

The global agenda of civil society will be closely followed. All relevant events will be announced to CSOs in Türkiye, and their participation will be encouraged and financially supported by the action.

Civil Society Perception Survey

We will conduct a field study at the national level to find out how much the public knows about civil society in Türkiye, which organizations they are familiar with, what their positive or negative evaluations are, where the focus of criticism lies, what their expectations are, and how much trust they have in civil society.

International Conference on Freedom of Association

We will organize an international conference, inviting leading professionals and speakers from the global civic space to disseminate and share the lessons learned and experiences.
